Start treatment of Pecto-Products as soon after identifying diarrhea, for sick calves administer medication according to veterinarian's instructions. Pecto-products can be fed together with medication.
In cases of heavy diarrhea we recommend to start with Pectospeed then continue with Pectolit.
In cases of regular diarrhea start with Pectolit feeding.
First feeding:
Mix 80 - 100 g of Pectospeed in 2 liters of warm water (temperature of approx. 38°C) feed 1 liter to a calf of less then 40 kg, 2 liters to calves of more then 40 kg.
Second feeding 6-12 hours after Pectospeed feeding:
Administer Pectolit by mixing 100 g of Pectolit in 2 liters of warm water (temperature of approx. 38°C).
Feeding Pectolit twice a day for 2 days should normally be sufficient. When necessary, administer Pectolit for a few more consecutive days.
Avoid dehydration:
Between feedings of Pectospeed or Pectolit it is recommended to feed ElectroPec or Phytolit:
Dilute 25 g of ElectroPec or Phytolit in 1 liter of warm water. Administer 3 times a day in the amount of 2– 4 liters per one liquid feeding.
